  National tyres Mansfield was recommended by the AA and my first call to them initially impressed me but I ended up being disappointed with their communication skills, after explaining about the coolant leak and the subsequent hole in the metal pipe, I was asked to take the vehicle in for a diagnosis and after it was seen, I was told they will call me with a quote next day but it took several calls by me to chase them over a few days and each time they would say that they couldn't find my number but finally, I felt lucky to be given a price therefore, i went ahead and arranged a date for the repair (which was today) but maybe I should have gone with my gut feeling as once again, whilst dropping the car off this morning, the person who dealt with me initially, pretended not to recognise me and spending further time, in giving them my details yet again, only to be told that sorry but they didn't have the part specially as I requested for them to contact me, should any problems arise and the person dealing with me replied in confidence to say "don't worry i will only call you if there is a problem sir" so much to my surprise, he tells me oh I'm sorry but the part hasn't arrived but I can get it on Monday for you, would you like me to book you in? I asked him when he knew the part wasn't going to be there and my surprise again, was "on Thursday evening sir" so why didn't you contact me then? he replied with, "I kept getting your voicemail" so why didn't you leave a message then? He couldn't come up with an honest answer but persisted I asking me for a deposit for the part. So either, they feared doing the work or they are just a bunch of idiots for wasting my time, money for making frequent calls, for diesel to go there and getting my wife to follow me so I could get back home. Would I recommend them NO! Would I use National tyres in Mansfield NO! I now have to spend more time to look for other garages and for having to take my car for a diagnosis.
